PRIVACY POLICY
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Officine Petrucci collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit our online shop at www.officinepetrucci.com (the “Shop”), buy from us, or contact us. Officine Petrucci is a California sole proprietorship owned and operated by Cardenio Petrucci, in California (“Officine Petrucci”, “we”, “us”).
This policy sits alongside our Terms and Conditions of Sale and our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy. The Shop sells stone objects, Italian specialty foods, gift collections and historic furniture for delivery within the United States only.
This policy does not cover third-party websites linked from the Shop, which have their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to sell, deliver and support your order, and to run the Shop.

If you tell us about a food allergy or dietary restriction before ordering, we use it only to answer your question and do not add it to a marketing profile.
If you buy as a gift, you give us the recipient’s name and address. Please share them only if you have a reasonable basis to do so; we use them only to deliver the gift.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
process, confirm and fulfill your order, including made-to-order items and preorders;
send delivery notices, dispatch-delay notices and any consent requests required under our Returns Policy;
prepare and send freight quotes for historic furniture, and arrange delivery, storage or rescheduling you request;
handle returns, refunds, cancellations and claims for damaged, defective, spoiled, incorrect or lost items;
answer your questions and provide customer service;
verify payment and prevent fraud, resale contrary to our Terms and misuse of the Shop;
send the order messages described in Section 6;
understand how the Shop is used, fix problems and improve it;
keep business, tax and accounting records, and comply with legal obligations; and
establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use personal information for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
4. How we share your information
We share personal information only with the parties below, and only as needed for the purposes in Section 3.

Squarespace and Stripe also publish their own privacy policies describing how they handle the information they process.
Selling and sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising on other websites. We have not installed advertising pixels or third-party advertising cookies on the Shop.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The Shop runs on Squarespace, which places cookies on your device. Some are necessary for the Shop to work, such as keeping items in your cart and completing checkout securely. Others support Squarespace Analytics, which shows us how visitors use the Shop, such as pages viewed, referring sites, device type and approximate location. We have not connected Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or other third-party advertising trackers to the Shop.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, the cart and checkout may not work.
Third-party tracking. We have not set up the Shop to let other companies collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites. At checkout, Stripe may collect device and payment information to prevent fraud.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. The Shop does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals, for which there is no common standard. Global Privacy Control is a different signal, used to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because we do neither, it does not change how the Shop operates.
6. Marketing emails
We do not currently send marketing emails or operate a newsletter. We send only messages about your orders, such as confirmations, dispatch and delay notices, freight quotes and refund updates.
If we begin sending marketing emails, we will send them only to people who sign up, and every message will include an unsubscribe link.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in Section 3. Order, payment, refund and tax records are kept as long as tax, accounting and other legal requirements call for. Correspondence and delivery details are kept until your order is complete and any return, refund or claim is resolved.
Usage information collected by Squarespace Analytics is kept by Squarespace on our behalf.
Information held by Squarespace and Stripe is also subject to their own retention practices.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. The Shop is hosted by Squarespace and served over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and card payments are processed by Stripe. Access to customer records is limited to people who need it to run the business.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by California law.
9. Requests about your personal information
You can ask us to:
access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete; or
delete your personal information.
We may keep information we must retain by law, or need to complete an order, handle a refund or claim, prevent fraud or defend legal claims. If so, we will tell you what we kept and why.
To make a request, email info@officinepetrucci.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may ask you to confirm details from your order, such as your email address and order number, so we know the request comes from you. We will respond within a reasonable time.
To block or delete cookies, see Section 5.
California residents. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
10. Children
The Shop is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 to place an order, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Where your information is processed
Squarespace and Stripe store and process information on our behalf. Squarespace states that its data servers are located in the United States; our service providers may also process information in other countries where they operate. Our Italian production partners receive only the manufacturing specifications for your order, not your personal information.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on the Shop with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you by email or a notice on the Shop before it takes effect.
